To spend some quality time with Suzanne before she leaves Korea for good, we headed up north east of SoKo to a spot she had on her Korean bucket list. So last week Saturday, eleven of us (named Suzanne's top 10 peeps in Korea) hopped on a slow train which would get us to the destination after a mature 6 hours.
Armed with snacks, wine, cameras, and jokes, we were ready to tackle that long trip with all our ammunition. And boy did we WIN! Had we decided that the trip would end with just the train ride, I'd have been satisfied coz I got a good portion of laughter en route.

The place where we'd spend the night, is a hotel boat or boat hotel (whichever sounds more awesome to you) right along a secluded beach area. Secluded. Yes. In Korea! I was also waiting for the 'jokessssss' sign to pop out with a million people behind it, but it never did.
First mission, get off the train, get fed, and head to the hotel.

After dropping off our bags in our rooms (where I failed to take pics), we took a walk around the area to take in all its beauty and get the camera flashes going. We spent time at the beach til the sun got shy, but here's what we did while it was still up. Fun and laughter, really. Really, really. I almost wet my pants laughing. Literally.

Back at the hotel, it was time to feed our hungry selves and work off the fat with some singing at the noraebang (singing room). Due to a sore throat, I was a passive spectator in the singing room only til the Canadians chose "I'm on a Boat" to sing. Gosh- singing along to a song you don't know can be so much fun!
Just a short game of 'Who Am I' before we lay our heads down. There was not enough coffee in the world to keep us up after such an eventful day. You know, some days seem too short, and others seem to offer us more than enough time to have fun in the sun.
The Sunday morning rain was jealous of all the excitement in us, and decided to hold back the famous view of a Korean sunrise, so we ended up sleeping in a little longer, having tea, muffins and last laughs before heading back to the train station.
Snow, flowing waters, more laughs and DMCs were the order for the 6 hour ride back.
